I love furniture makeovers. It is an easy way to add your personal style to any piece of furniture you find. With paint alone, you can change the look of any piece of furniture you have. It is amazing how different a dresser or buffet can look after you put a few coats of paint on it. Today, I put together 20 of my Furniture Makeovers With Paint.
I know there are a lot of people who don’t think you should ever paint furniture, but I am not one of those people. I think there are times to paint pieces and times to leave them as they are. It all depends on the furniture piece. I don’t think you can say paint or no paint across the board. If you have thought about painting a piece you have, go for it. It is only paint.
Let’s get started with some of my Furniture Makeovers With Paint!
I found a great solution for painting metal any paint color you like without showing any paint strokes. This metal cabinet turned out so beautiful! See the trick and the makeover HERE.
Benches are some of my favorite furniture pieces to pick up. This piano bench had seen better days, but all it took was paint and a little sandpaper to make it look brand new. See the makeover HERE.
Small tables are always fun and useful in lots of spaces. This table had so many details and curves that were highlighted with paint. It is a beautiful in our living room now. See it HERE.
Hutches are my weakness. This hutch was so yummy when I found it, but a little paint made it even yummier! See what it looked like when I got it done HERE.
Buffets are another weakness for me. When I got this one, I knew exactly what color I was going to paint it. I love it so much better now. See it HERE.
Dressers come in all shapes and sizes. If you can find an inexpensive dresser at a yard sale or thrift store, you can make it whatever you need for your space. We pulled this dresser from a barn and I got a new paint color from Fusion Mineral Paint to try. They came together beautifully. See it HERE.
I picked up this small chest of drawers because it could be used as a dresser, a chest in a living room, a side table, etc. It was just the perfect size and had storage! I used a new paint I had never tried before on this piece. See it HERE.
dThis buffet was beautiful! It has some amazing details that I wanted to bring out with paint. But, I also wanted to leave some of the wood. The combination of wood and paint can be so pretty. Find the makeover HERE.
We rescued this table from Restore. We have it set in the center of my office so I can walk around it and work on it. For it to work, I needed to brighten it up with a little paint. See it HERE.
This tall dresser needed many paint colors for its makeover. It was my first attempt at this technique and it was a hit. See it HERE.
I was inspired by a piece from Anthropologie for this dresser makeover. See it HERE.
Painted nursery furniture is so pretty. When I saw this piece, I thought it would be perfect for a nursery so I went with a color to fit that purpose. See the makeover HERE.
These furniture makeovers with paint are taking me down memory lane. We have seen a lot of great pieces through our DIYing years. This secretary desk was beautiful after I got done painting it. See it HERE.
This dresser was a little too orange for my liking. I thought white paint would really bring out the details it had. I was right! See it HERE.
We bought these homemade rockers from a yard sale. All they needed was some paint to bring them to life. They now reside on my in-laws front patio. See the makeover HERE.
Drum tables are beautiful. I have rescued so many. They come in all sizes and this little guy just needed some paint to make him proud again. See his transformation HERE.
Old tables have my heart. I can’t leave them when I find them at a reasonable price. This drop-leaf number needed some paint and a little sanding to make it new again. See it HERE.
I used a yellow paint on this dresser to make it over. I need to use yellow more often! See it HERE.
I fell in love with this dresser as soon as I saw it. After I painted it, I loved the color so much that the dresser still resides in our living room today. See it HERE.
Another buffet was saved by a couple of coats of paint! See it HERE.
I hope some of these Furniture Makeovers With Paint have inspired you to either change your outdated furniture or to hunt for some new pieces to bring into your space. Painting furniture is not bad. To each their own. If you want something painted, go for it! It is your space and it needs to make you happy when you are in it!
