We are getting Back To The Basics today and bringing you easy appetizers that you can serve during the holiday season. Tis’ the season for parties, gatherings and special meals. I love trying new recipes, but I also have to serve the favorite recipes when certain people are coming to our home. These 3 Ingredient Slow Cooker Meatballs are one of those recipes. They are so easy to make and they are always the first things that are gone.
Ingredients for Slow Cooker Meatballs:
1 Jar Grape Jelly
1 Jar Chili Sauce
1 Frozen Bag of HomeStyle Meatballs or Turkey Meatballs (you could also make homemade meatballs)
I always buy the HomeStyle meatballs for this recipe and like turkey meatballs even better.
To start, I brown the meatballs in a 425° oven. I like to get a dark crust on the meatballs before I put them in the slow cooker. Once they are browned, I put them in the slow cooker.
Then, I make the sauce. Like most of my recipes, I don’t really measure with this. In a sauce pan, add 1/2 – 3/4 the jar of grape jelly (depending on how sweet you want them) and the full jar of chili sauce. I always put in more chili sauce than the jelly because I don’t want them too sweet. I cook this on medium heat and whisk together until the jelly is liquid and the two become a smooth sauce.
Then, I add the sauce over the meatballs in the slow cooker and keep them on low.
The slow cooker meatballs are so easy to make. With only three ingredients, you can always have them on hand and throw this appetizer together when company stops over.

Ok, Lindsay, you know I’m awful in the kitchen but this looks like a recipe my family is going to LOVE – especially my dad and brother in laws. They always say I feed them “rabbit food” (aka salad) when they come over so I can’t wait to make this and surprise them. Hugs, CoCo

So easy and when I heard grape jelly too, I thought people were crazy, but amazingly it goes well together.
