Pottery Barn Advent Calendar Dupe
When I was cleaning out my office for our fall yard sale, I came across this piece I bought at a yard sale for 25¢.
Of course, I didn’t have plans for this board when I bought it, but I couldn’t pass it up for a quarter.
When I found it in my closet, it was next to the metal numbers I picked up at a yard sale. It was like they were in the closet together to make me think of an Advent Calendar. 🙂 The planning started and it turned out beautifully.

Easy DIY Advent Calendar Made From A 25¢ Board
I made a Fabric Advent Calendar from my latest curbside rescue!
If you follow me on Instagram, you saw that I found a beautiful old mirror and this frame on the curb. I didn’t have a plan for the frame until I started thinking about an Advent calendar. I wasn’t planning on making one this year, but my creative juices started flowing and I knew I could make this curbside frame a DIY Advent calendar in no time.

DIY Fabric Advent Calendar Made From Curbside Frame
This year, I was inspired to make a new one. I love finding new ways to create Advent calendars. This DIY Rustic Advent Calendar came together very easily with found items and a little DIY.
I was inspired to make this Advent calendar with a box of goodies I bought at a church sale. This box of place card holders was 25¢. I couldn’t pass it up. I didn’t know what I was going to do with them when I bought them but once I started brainstorming new Advent calendar ideas, I knew exactly what they would become.

DIY Rustic Advent Calendar
A homemade Advent calendar is a tradition in our home. When I was growing up, we always had an Advent calendar. It was one of my favorite things about the Christmas season. Our calendar was usually a paper house of some sort and all we did was lift a flap on the house each day to reveal a number. Nothing extravagant, but I loved it! When we had our kids, I wanted them to have Advent calendar experiences of their own.
This year, our Advent calendar is homemade. I used items that I picked up at yard sales this past summer.
