When you hear “15 minutes”, it is usually thought of as a short amount of time. Now, look at 15 minutes on a treadmill at a fast pace and a high incline. That same amount of time of 15 minutes seems to take forever then. What about when you are scrolling through social media? That same 15 minutes flies by so fast!
No matter what you are doing, 15 minutes is 15 minutes. If you have 15 minutes, you can grow your Instagram account. If you can commit to doing these six strategies for 15 minutes a day, you will see a big change in your Instagram account.
6 Ways To Grow Your Instagram Account In 15 Minutes
-
Engage On Other Accounts
This is so important. You need to be engaging on other accounts similar to yours. By engaging on those accounts, the people who follow those accounts will see your name come up over and over and are more apt to click over and see what your account is about. If your account is similar to the one you are engaging on, chances are that those same followers will want to follow your account as well. Make sure that your engagement is authentic and goes beyond simple comments like “love this”.
Engage! Ask questions. Offer a suggestion. Answer the question they are asking. This shows that you actually paid attention to the post and the copy. Do what they are asking you to do and then leave a comment telling them you did it. Did they want you to click on a link in their bio? Do that and then come back and mention something you noticed or liked about what you clicked on.

Post Consistently
I preach this over and over again. You have to be posting consistently. If you are following an Instagram account, you want to continue to see more from that account. If you only see one post every so often and you can’t rely on consistent content, you are more likely to unfollow or not pay attention to that account at all. You want the accounts you follow to be reliable and continue to post content that made you follow them in the first place. Give that same thing to the people who are following you.
On another note, if you aren’t posting consistently, Instagram will not push your content in the algorithm as much. If you aren’t posting, there isn’t any interaction on your account so Instagram is not going to push that out to people. You need to be posting consistently. If you can’t commit to every day, find a schedule that you can commit to, AND STICK TO IT! If that is every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, stick to that so your followers know when to pay attention and interact with your account. Consistency doesn’t have to mean multiple times a day. It means you have to stay consistent with a posting schedule you can stick to.

Respond With Questions
I love this one. Social media accounts are meant to be social. So, treat them that way. When someone comments on your post, respond to them. But, push it even further. Respond to them with a question, and dive a little deeper so they can comment again. This starts a conversation. It is social.
For me, I post a lot of DIY and home content on my page HERE. So, if I share a dresser makeover and someone comments “I love that”, I could respond back with, “Would you have chosen a different color for this piece?” Or, “Would you have picked up this piece if you saw it before the makeover?” Something that goes a little deeper and asks them to comment back to you. This is social. This is now a conversation. Social media platforms LOVE that.

Messages (USE YOUR VOICE!)
Get in your DM’s! Make sure that you pay attention to the direct messages. There is a lot of interaction that goes on in the DM’s. Make sure you spend some time there. But again, push it a little further. Respond to messages with a voice message! YES! You will be amazed how many responses come back that will say something like, “It was so nice to receive a voice response from you. Thank you!” It is that personal connection and that extra touch that makes people feel heard and responded to. Pay attention to your DM’s and respond to them with both typed and voice messages.

Imitate What You Want
You take a lot of time to create and post content on Instagram in hopes that people will like, comment, save, and share your content. Right?! Then, you need to make sure that you are doing those same things on other accounts. Imitate what you want others to do on your account. Like, comment, share, and save content from accounts you follow. Practice what you preach to grow your Instagram account.

CTA – Tell Them What To Do
You have to tell your followers what to do. That sounds a little weird, but you need to give them a CTA (call to action) in everything you post. Do you want them to like (heart) the post? Tell them to do that. Do you want them to share the post? Tell them to do that. Do you want them to answer a question? Ask a question and tell them to answer in the comments. You need to give them a CTA in everything you post (stories, posts, reels, etc.) so they know what you want them to do.
A lot of times when we are scrolling through the app, we look and don’t act. When an account tells you what to do or asks you something, you are more likely to do that. Every CTA promotes engagement and that is what we are looking for. Tell them what to do so there is more engagement and less scrolling on your account.
If you can add these 6 ways to grow your Instagram account in 15 minutes to your weekly strategy, you are sure to see a change in your account. These things don’t take long and they are good habits to get into when you are working on your account. Some of the strategies are different and may take you out of your comfort zone, but they are something that should be added to your IG strategy today.
