I am a blog ambassador for Lakeshore Learning. This Easy Autumn Crafts For Kids post has been compensated.
I have some fun fall crafts for kids to share with you today. We have been taking full advantage of our favorite season. Fall is the season for crafts, parties and good food. Our family is trying to embrace all of it and my daughter and I recently had a crafting session that lasted all afternoon and produced some pretty cute fall projects.
Let’s get to them!
Autumn Crafts For Kids:
Halloween Banner:
My daughter and I can’t get enough of the Arts & Crafts Supply Center from Lakeshore Learning. Every time we want to create something, we find everything we need in it. After I made the Mummy Banner earlier this month, my daughter wanted to create her own banner for Halloween. She grabbed construction paper and her favorite tools right now. She uses the Crinkle-Cut Craft Scissors for so many crafts and they worked great for this Halloween banner.
To start the banner, Gabrielle cut triangles from different colored construction paper with the scissors. Then, she used pieces from the Craft Supply Center to make different Halloween characters for the banner.
The Halloween characters she came up with are too cute. She was planning on stringing them together to make a banner, but she noticed the wheel behind my desk was bare and decided to hang them on there. I love it!
Trick-or-Treat Bags:
We enjoy making our own trick-or-treat bags every Halloween. The Decorate-Your-Own Tote Bags from Lakeshore Learning are perfect for this craft.
We painted our palms with washable paint to make pumpkins.
Then, we pressed our hands on the bags and used supplies from the Craft Center to decorate our pumpkins.
We made many of these bags to hand out to our friends and we even made a few to fill with goodies for our teachers on Halloween.
Give Thanks Garland:
Fall crafts for kids would not be complete without something fun for Thanksgiving.
This “Give Thanks” garland was put together with Peel & Stick Tactile Letters, washable paint, Tacky glue and scrap wood pieces from our garage.
We cut the wood into small triangles. We drilled holes in the top for the twine to string through to make them a garland. Then, we painted the triangles red, yellow and orange. Then, we picked coordinating foam letters to make our message.
We used Tacky glue to make sure the letters stuck to each triangle.
We hung the garland on the burlap pumpkin I made for our front door.
These autumn crafts for kids were so fun to make. Creative sessions with my daughter are priceless and I treasure them so much. This fall season, I am thankful for so many things and I have had so much fun embracing it as much as I can.
