The Best Masks For DIYers

4 Mins read

Are you looking for the best masks for DIYers? These masks are the most comfortable and breathable protective masks we have tried. The best!

I recently told Matt that I wanted to be more diligent about wearing a mask when we are working on projects. I have been lax about it in the past but it is something I want to make a priority. It is even more of a priority when you see the photos in this post. These pictures really captured just how much “stuff” is in the air when you are DIYing. Not only is it important to me but Matt had a health scare that involved his lungs. Everything came out okay but the doctors told him it would be smart if he wore a mask with the kinds of projects we are doing on a continual basis.

Now, we have both worn masks in the past. But, we have always had a complaint about the masks we had on and they would end up on the floor before we got the project done. With this new priority I was putting in place, I set out on a mission to find the best masks for DIYers.

I am happy to report, I found The Best Masks For DIYers.

Let me introduce you to RZ masks

RZ Masks and RZ Filters are specially designed with comfort and safety in mind. They have multiple shell materials, shell styles, and filter types to choose from. They are ideal for all climates and pair well with most other PPE for comfortable, all-day use. I just want to reiterate the word “comfort” here. These masks are so comfortable. When I wear them, I never feel like I have to tear them off because they are moving or getting uncomfortable. I love wearing them in the winter in Iowa too because they keep my face warm when we are working in the garage in the winter. They are breathable to be comfortable in the summer too.

I love the durability of RZ masks and that they really are made to last.

Why You Should Wear A Protective Mask When DIYing

If you are DIYing, chances are you are working around fumes, dust, sanding debris, and so much more. Those are all things that should not be breathed in. These things can be dangerous to your lungs and can have long-term effects such as asthma, shortness of breath, and even cancer. Not only should you work in a well-ventilated area but you should also protect yourself with a good mask.

Just look at the photo below. Matt is just sanding some wood and you can see all the dust and sanding debris that is in the air. You don’t want to breathe that in. The same goes for the photo later in this post when he is spray painting. You can see the fumes in that photo. You don’t want to breathe that in either.

Not only are the masks amazing for DIYer, but the company is doing amazing things. RZ donates $1 for every mask or Airflow they sell in support of the American Lung Association. I love finding products that work well but when I can find that AND find out the company is doing great things on the side too, that makes it that much better.

Wearing masks is an easy thing to do to protect your lungs when you are DIYing. It is an easy step to add to your project list but, when they aren’t comfortable or you can’t breathe in them, you skip the step altogether. I have found the mask you will love and will actually grab before you start working.

Grab one HERE and make it a priority to wear it. Your DIYing lungs will thank you.
