Brass is making a huge come back. Growing up, my mom had brass pieces all over our house. A few months ago, I was in a thrift store while we were out of town and I found the pair of brass birds we had in our house growing up! I couldn’t believe it! I turned the corner and they stood out like a sore thumb to me. They were behind some things on a shelf, but they were the only things I saw. Memories started flooding my mind and I grabbed them as quick as I could. It was like I had found the golden ticket in the Willy Wonka movie. The kids were with me and they started looking the birds up online and we found out that they are worth a lot more than what I paid for them! Who knew? They are now in the hutch in our living room. I don’t think I will be able to part with them, but they did inspire this post. I am drawn to brass pieces and another thing I always pick up at thrift stores and yard sales are brass candlesticks.
Brass candlesticks are timeless. They aren’t a trend that will pass. They fit so many styles which makes them perfect in every home.
When I started browsing for brass candlesticks for this post, I was amazed with all of the options out there. I found more than thirty candlesticks that are all beautiful and are sure to make a statement where ever you put them.

Hi. These candlesticks are beautiful. I’ve decided to start collecting them and decorating with them. My question to you is this…do you try to shine them up or leave the patina on them? Yours look like they are in good condition so it is hard for me to tell. Thank you.
Daphne
I love the patina on them. I don’t love them really shiny.
