Easter will be here before we know it.
It is early this year so I have started making some Easter crafts and projects to prepare for it.
These Homemade Easter Baskets were a huge hit after I made them so we will be handing them out to family, friends and neighbors this year.

Supplies Used To Make These Homemade Easter Baskets:
The plastic cups I used for these were called “fancy” on the bag they came in, but you can use any plastic cup you want. I liked that these have the shape and form of what the bottom part of a basket would be.
To give the plastic cups a more “basket” look, I wrapped them with jute twine.
To start, I put a bead of hot glue around the base of the cup. Then, I wrapped the jute twine on that layer of hot glue.
From there, I sporadically added hot glue and wrapped the twine up the rest of the cup. Once I had the entire cup covered, I cut the twine and hot glued it down in place.
To make the basket handle, I cut a piece of twine about 10″ long.
Then, I hot glued it inside the basket. I put the ends pretty far down in the basket just to make it stronger.
Now, it is time to fill the homemade Easter baskets!
I used both raffia and Easter grass.
Then, the fun stuff happens. Start adding goodies and trinkets to the baskets. The MARS Spring Minis Mix is the perfect mix of goodies to put in all your homemade Easter baskets this year.
You can easily find these bags at Sams. Some Sams also carry the M&M’s® Pastel Plain 56 oz. and you can make the easiest Easter bars with them. All you need are three ingredients.
- Your favorite store-bought sugar cookie mix (and the ingredients listed on the back of the mix)
- Your favorite store-bought vanilla frosting
- M&M’s® Pastel Plain 56 oz.
Make the sugar cookie mix according to instructions on the box or bag and press the mixture on the bottom of an 8×8″ pan. Bake it at 350° for about 20 minutes (until skewer inserted comes out dry). Let the crust cool. Once it is cool, spread on your favorite vanilla frosting and sprinkle M&M’s® Pastel Plain on the top. That’s it! Easy and fast!
Creating Easter baskets is so much fun! Spring is here and we are so excited to be celebrating the new season.
