These DIY NO-SEW Sweater Pumpkins are so easy to make and that is coming from someone who has no sewing skills whatsoever. I called these “no-sew” because you don’t need a sewing machine or mad needle and thread skills to make them. I did use a needle and thread for this project, but nothing complicated at all.
When I saw this blush pink wool sweater in a thrift store, I had to buy it. It was 100% wool and had been washed and dried so it couldn’t be worn the way it was. It was in the perfect condition to create these pumpkins with though.
Wool, cable knit sweaters scream “cozy” to me so I had to come up with a way to repurpose this beautiful sweater.
Here is the video showing you how to make these pumpkins:

Supplies Used To Make DIY NO-SEW Sweater Pumpkins:
Sweater
Embroidery Thread (I am sure you could use yarn or a different thread of even twine)
Stick/Limb
After I made the smaller pumpkins with the arms of the sweater, I wanted to figure out how to make some bigger pumpkins with the body of the sweater.
So, I cut the sweater up the center like pictured above and turned the two portions inside out.
Then, I hot glued (remember, I am not a sewer) the open side shut. This made it so this bigger portion was like a sleeve.
Then, I did the same steps I did with the arms of the sweater to make the smaller pumpkins. I put a rubber band around one end.
Then, I turned it right side out as I did with the smaller pumpkins.
Then, I filled it with Poly-fil and did the same steps as the smaller pumpkins in the video above.
These DIY NO-SEW Sweater Pumpkins did not take that long to make.
It is a good project to do while watching your favorite TV show.
Now that I figured out a way to repurpose beautiful wool sweaters, I will be looking for them more often.
Do you know how to sew?
