This DIY spring eucalyptus wreath is so easy to make and you only need a few supplies to create it. I am hoping that by starting to create things for spring, winter will get the hint and start making its way out of here. This winter has gone down in the record books for the amount of snow and the cold temps we have had. I am so ready for warmer weather, melted snow and better driving conditions.
I don’t do a lot of decorating for spring. But, when I found two large embroidery hoops at a thrift store, I had to pick them up and create something with them.
I love embroidery hoop projects and have shared a few on the site HERE and HERE. It was the size of these particular hoops that drew my attention (they are about 23″ across). No matter what I did with them, they would make a big statement.
I didn’t come up with a plan for them until I found some eucalyptus stems and flower garland during one of my shopping trips (I share those shopping trips on Instagram and Facebook so make sure you are following along with me there). After I found those pieces, I knew exactly what I was going to do with the embroidery hoops.

Supplies Used For Spring Eucalyptus Wreaths:
Large Embroidery Hoop (Mine are about 23″ across. You could do this on any size hoop).
Eucalyptus Stems
Faux Flowers or Flower Garland
Floral Wire
Dark Stain
Wire Cutters
Here is a live video showing you how easy it was to create the wreaths:
I made two wreaths so I can put them together or in separate places. If I would have grabbed the other floral garlands I could have made two more wreaths with the outer rings on the embroidery hoops. I tried to go back to Target to see if there were any left, but they were all gone. I always do that! When will I learn to pick up more when I find things on clearance that I love?
I wanted to hang the wreaths in the back porch, but when I got them done, it was too cold to go out there. It can wait until the weather gets warmer. In the meantime, I think they look cute in our bedroom and above the faux mantel we put in the living room. Did you know that mantel only cost $2.99!!! Yep! You can read all about that story HERE.
I love an easy project any day of the week. It is so satisfying being able to create something in a short amount of time and have it turn out exactly like you pictured. This eucalyptus wreath can not be screwed up. You can’t do it wrong. The sky is the limit!
Do you decorate for spring? Where would you hang these eucalyptus wreaths?
