Supplies For The DIY Tapered Candle Holder
Wood Piece From Restore
Notes:
- Stain or paint with any color you like. I chose “Early American” stain for this holder.
- I used wood pieces I found at Restore. You could use any thicker piece of wood.
- I chose copper pipe pieces to hold the candles. They get smaller at the bottom which is perfect for the tapered candles.
How To Make The DIY Wood Tapered Candle Holder
- Sand the wood piece you are using.
- Set the copper pieces where you want them on the wood piece.
- Drill a notch out the same size as the copper piece.
- The thinner part of the copper pieces fit down in the wood. Depending on how much of the copper you want to see will determine how far you need to drill down.
- Once the holes are, stain or paint.
- MAKE SURE TO STAIN INSIDE THE HOLES YOU DRILLED TOO.
- Once the stain or paint is dry, put the copper piece in and add the tapered candles!
The copper is so pretty with the stain color.
I love the candles that Luminara has. I chose the Ivory Flameless Candle Tapers. The flames move just like real candles and you don’t have to worry about them because they aren’t real flames. Luminara gave me a coupon code to share with you. You can use the code “MYCREATIVEDAYS10” on anything on their site! You can shop HERE. They have the most amazing flameless candles. Some of them are scented! They are made so well and you will use them all year round. Make sure to check them out for sure. Since I have gotten these, I have saved so much money because I am not buying candles to burn. Those candles don’t last forever as the Luminara does. They are a great investment if you love the glow of candles in your home like I do.
