I have been crushing on a lot of wall scrolls I have been seeing lately. I think they are so fun because they add something different to your walls and decor. Today, I am sharing a fall wall scroll I received from Letters With Jamie and added above the wood fireplace mantel we have in the living room.
Fall is my favorite time of year. If we could take the “back-to-school” portion out of it, it would be the most perfect season of all. There is something that happens during fall that makes me so happy. I know it has a lot to do with the weather, but it is also things like home decor, plaid blankets, football, tailgating foods and so much more that make it so special.
I decorate for fall earlier than most people because I love sharing fall content here and on my pages HERE, HERE and HERE. This year, I wanted to add something different to the “fallness” of our home. I saw a saying at a coffee shop that rang so true for me, “Oh fall…. it’s nice to see you again.” This is totally something I would say. It is a deep breath after a hot summer from someone who falls in love with fall every year. That may seem dramatic, but it is true. This saying was for me and I had to display it in a unique way in our home.

What Is A Wall Scroll?
We call them wall scrolls, but it comes from the Japanese word kakemono, which is a Japanese paper or silk wall hanging, usually long and narrow, with a picture or inscription on it and a roller at the bottom. Modern wall scrolls are usually done on white or brown craft paper. They are made in different sizes with words, pictures or both.
The fall wall scroll rounded out the mantel area in our living room perfectly. It is the first thing you see when you walk into our front door. The saying and the sign make a big impact – one that I want everyone to know when they stop by. WE LOVE FALL AND WE ARE SO HAPPY TO SEE IT AGAIN!
It doesn’t have to be grand, it doesn’t have to cost a lot of money and it doesn’t have to be super fancy to make your home exactly YOU and oh so cozy and welcoming for fall. This scroll makes me happy every time I walk past it. I am so happy to see fall again and bask in its greatness.
