Gabrielle was so excited with her Teen Girl’s Bedroom Makeover that she couldn’t wait to decorate it for Christmas. Today, I am sharing Girls Bedroom Christmas Decor that will make her room fun, festive and cheerful with a few simple touches.
We have always had a Christmas tree in Landen and Gabrielle’s bedrooms.
Every year, we let the kids pick one ornament to add to their trees. Now that they are a little older, their small Christmas trees weren’t able to hold all of their ornaments. So, we bought them bigger trees. I found some great Christmas tree options for Gabrielle and I took her out to look at them all. In the end, she chose a rose gold tree which looks so good in her new room. It is a pre-lit tree and when we first put it up without the ornaments, it was the prettiest corner in the entire house. The glow from the lights on the tree make her room even more magical at night. (In some of these photos, the tree looks silver, but it is a pretty, rose gold color in person.)
After a few days, we brought her box of ornaments out and she decorated the tree. I helped with the garlands, but she added all of the ornaments. As someone who is OCD about where the ornaments go on a tree, I let the kids put the ornaments where they want them and I don’t move them afterwards. I will have years and years to have ornaments exactly where I want them, but right now, I enjoy seeing the kids decorate the trees and I don’t want to ruin the experience for them by rearranging them all after they are done.
The Christmas decor in Gabrielle’s room is very whimsical, bright and cheerful. It is just a fun room to be in.
Throughout the years, I have picked up many things on clearance after Christmas for her room. She is the kid who likes to have her room decorated and the Christmas season gives us an opportunity to add some different things to it to celebrate the season.
After we made over her room, she started talking about her Christmas decorations that would fit better in the new space.
I have to tell you, having a girl who loves things that you love it so much fun! We work well together and have fun bouncing ideas back and forth. She is my little creative side-kick and I am enjoying every minute of it.

I love that her tree is decorated just as she put it. I didn’t change anything about it and I wouldn’t want it any other way. She chose some of the ornaments I had in other places in the house to add to her tree and I am not mad about it.
I used some thrift store scarves around the base of her tree that were a deep green color like in her wallpaper and a chunky knit pink scarf because….. it’s a chunky knit pink scarf. It was the perfect scarf to use as a tree skirt.
*TIP: Always search thrift stores and yard sales for scarves. Chunky knit scarves and plaid scarves are great to use as Christmas decor. I use them for tablecloths on small tables or folded up in a basket.
