It is time to talk Halloween entertaining! Since our kids were little, we have always hosted a Halloween party at our house for my family on Halloween. My family comes over around four to eat dinner (so the kids are full of something good and not wanting to stuff their faces with candy). Then, we help the kids get into their costumes so we can take pictures before it gets too dark. Then, it is time to head out to trick-or-treat around the neighborhood. It is something we look forward to every year and the kids have made so many Halloween memories over the years.
Halloween entertaining is always fun because it is different from any other holiday. You can dress up to be whoever you want and you can decorate totally different from your normal decor. Who doesn’t love to step out of the mundane “everyday”? Along with the costumes and decor, Halloween party food is fun to prepare! You can make yummy things with weird names and themed drinks for the kids and adults is always an added bonus.
Not only do we host Halloween at our home, but we have hosted weekend Halloween parties around the holiday for friends.
No matter when you are Halloween entertaining, you should find some great “party ware” that you can use every year. I definitely need the pumpkin dishes for soups. How cute are they?! I also love using the moss inside cloches and wood bowls underneath pumpkins and faux candles like the ones I linked here. You could really set up a spooktacular beverage station with the glasses, candlesticks and plates from Cost Plus World Market! After this post, I already have a great idea of what our Halloween party will consist of this year.
