This How To Clean BBQ Grill post could not come at a better time.
I have to be totally transparent and tell you that our BBQ grill has not been cleaned in a long time. A loooooong time! To be totally honest, I can’t remember the last time Matt cleaned it??
Don’t judge us – I am just keeping it real.
We like to use our grill all year long. We have it on the deck right outside our back porch door so we don’t have to go far to use it when the weather isn’t the best. Since we use it all the time, it was getting pretty disgusting! DISGUSTING!
Hide your eyes and skip this before photo.
I warned you!
It was bad, huh?!
Embarrassing and bad (did I mention embarrassing??) but that is real life and the condition of our grill before we cleaned it.

Matt will usually use a wire grill brush to scrub the grates of the grill after we cook something, but it never really cleans it. It just brushes any pieces that were left on the grate. So, when I received the SteamMachine from HomeRight, I wanted to give it a try on the grill first.
After reading the instructions, we put the steamer together and got to work immediately.
I created a little video to show you the entire process.
I can’t believe the grill now! It looks so much better!!!
The SteamMachine worked its magic on the grill and now I want to grill all our meals. If my grill can look like this after cleaning it, I will be doing it more and more and more. I will be able to remember when we cleaned it last because we will do it more often.
Matt and I loved how easy the SteamMachine was to use. We figured out the attachment we wanted to use for the grill and then filled the machine with distilled water and turned it on. Once the lights turned off, it was ready to use. The spray handle has a trigger that makes it a breeze to use. After I took the photos and the video of my husband using it, I had to get my turn. I was hooked. I love it when you find something that works right away. I want to use this thing on so many things. I will be cleaning the van, some windows and many other things. Nothing is safe now.
I hope this post about how to clean BBQ grill has eased your mind about tackling a not-so-fun spring cleaning project.
