This olive green dresser makeover will show you how easy it is to transform an old piece of furniture with all-in-one paint and a sander.
I found this small dresser at my local Restore shop.
If you have been following my projects, you know that I love a small piece of furniture like this. They don’t take up a lot of space but still give you a lot of storage. They add the cute factor wherever you put them as well.
I knew this would be an easy makeover and it would not take long at all.
Steps In This Olive Green Dresser Makeover:
- Remove hardware (will add new wood knobs).
- Clean the entire piece well. (Learn how to clean a piece of furniture before painting HERE).
- Scuff-sand the entire piece. (Learn the difference between scuff-sanding and regular sanding HERE).
- Prime, paint, and topcoat all with one can! I will use my favorite all-in-one paint for this piece.
- Stage it and list it for sale!

I am telling you, this makeover went so fast because there weren’t any repairs. The drawers worked great and we didn’t have to rebuild any part of it.
This paint color was the perfect color for this little piece. It is one of my favorite shades of green.
Once the paint was on, you could really see the beautiful details on this little piece pop.
The power of paint amazes me every time.
I am sharing some video of my painting this piece and using some new paintbrushes in the process on my YouTube channel. You can watch it HERE. The paintbrushes are designed in a way so your hands never cramp up when you paint. They are pretty amazing and I was excited to try them out on this piece.
