When Zibra Paint asked if I would like to participate in a little paint competition, I jumped on board. They didn’t ask me to paint a piece of furniture or a wall in our home. Instead, they asked if I would paint their paint brushes. What?! Of course I will! I would love to paint my favorite paint brushes and make them into Christmas Tree Decorations since the holidays are right around the corner.

Zibra Paint sent me a box of my favorite paint brushes. I have said it over and over again here on the blog – these brushes are amazing for all DIY projects! I have used them on small painting projects to furniture makeovers to bringing them along to our flip house projects. These brushes have saved us a ton of money on painter’s tape. I don’t use it anymore. The Palm Pro (my absolute favorite brush they have) makes it so easy to cut in.
I didn’t know what I was going to do for this little competition and then I started pulling out our Christmas decorations and found my Paint Brush Santa Ornaments I made a few years ago and decided I would bring this fun idea back to the lime light.
It is a lot of fun revisiting old projects. Sometimes, I find that I don’t like them and other times, I find that the project is still fun and cute. This is one of those cute and fun projects. These Christmas Tree Decorations are too cute and it is fun making something festive out of something I use all the time.
All you need to make them are some wood handled paint brushes, paint brushes to paint with and paint. I use the paint I have on hand and some up with different ways to make each Santa different.
When the paint dries, I add a festive ribbon to the hole in the handle so they can be hung in the Christmas tree.
These Christmas tree decorations are easy. I didn’t stress about the process. I turned on some Christmas music and free-handed it all.
These Paint Brush Santas are cute hung in the Christmas tree, on the knobs of cabinets or on the top of gifts for family and friends.
I hung them in the tree in the back porch where I hung the embroidery hoop ornaments I made this year.
I think the Santa Paint Brushes are too cute and the size and shape of the different Zibra brushes makes them each have their own personality. They were perfect for this competition and because I am a little extra sentimental this year, they fit the bill.
I am reminded every day how fast our kids are growing up, but the fact that my daughter still loves to hang up the Paint Brush Santas when we are decorating for Christmas, makes me so happy. Soon, our kids will be grown and out of the house so if the Paint Brush Santas still bring our daughter Christmas joy and memories, I am going to keep creating them.
Now, I am going to tell you how you can help me win $350! Zibra asked five painters to paint their brushes. The one with the most votes wins $350!

Hi Lindsey,
I grabbed this pin from our tribe, but thought this was soooo adorable that I wanted to pop over and let you know. Can’t think of a cuter idea for a paint brush.
Thank you so much Rachel!!! You made my day!
