Rules To Follow To Make Money Fast Flipping Furniture

How Much Money
I talked about this above. One of the rules to the fastest way to make money flipping furniture is to start out with an idea of how much money you need or want to make. That way, you can gauge what you are buying, how much you are buying, and where you need the profit to be in the end. Having that goal set in the beginning will make the entire process run in the right direction.
-
Basic
If you’re going to flip furniture, start with basic pieces. I’m talking about end tables, nightstands, and small stools and benches. You can find these items at garage sales and thrift stores for between $5 and $20. Start with the most basic furniture pieces so get the fastest return on your money. Don’t pick up anything that needs a lot of work. Look for pieces that just need a good cleaning.

Fix It Up
Learning how to fix up your piece of furniture is important. If you don’t know how I have many tutorials HERE. In the beginning, I would keep the fixing part to very basic things like adding new hardware, removing legs or feet and cleaning. The best part about keeping things simple like this is that it doesn’t require any tools or special equipment. You can do everything with just your hands and some elbow grease!

Time To Sell
Once you’ve learned how to fix up your piece of furniture, it’s time to sell it! The easiest way to do this is online through Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace. You can also try selling in person at community events like flea markets or yard sales if they allow vendors like yourself.
You’ve seen the “flipping” shows on television, and you might have wondered if you could do that. The short answer is yes, but it will take a little work. If you’re looking for a way to make money on the side (and turn it into even more down the line), flipping furniture can be a good option.
The key is to buy low and sell high.
You have to be able to find pieces of furniture that are worth more than they cost and then resell them at a higher price point. This takes time and effort, but it can be done successfully if you know what you’re doing.
Here’s how to flip furniture:
Buy low — You need to find pieces of furniture that are undervalued in some way. Take note of any imperfections or flaws in the piece, such as scratches or dents. If there’s something wrong with it, it will be priced lower than if it were perfect. You may even be able to talk down the price further if there are other problems with the piece that aren’t obvious at first glance. When buying furniture and reselling it at a profit, make sure to research what similar items are selling online so that you know when to say no or negotiate for better terms on the piece.
Sell high — Research the market to understand how high different pieces have sold. You want to make the most profit in the end but you have to be realistic. If you go way over what the market says you will not sell. Learning the market and knowing how to sell are key factors in getting the most for your flip.
