I want to thank Meet Minneapolis for partnering with me on this Things To Do In Minneapolis With Kids post. All opinions are my own.
I don’t know about your family, but for us, we have a couple of places that we always love visiting as often as we can. When our kids were smaller, we would venture to visit Minneapolis, Minnesota a few times a year. Now that the kids are older and their schedules are more full, we are finding it harder and harder to get to Minneapolis as often as we like.
Spring break is this week so Matt and I thought it would be fun to start the break off with a trip to Minneapolis. We knew we would be spending a lot of time at the flip house during break so a little getaway was just what we needed before the hard work started.
In this post, I am going to share Things To Do In Minneapolis With Kids. Just like anywhere, a trip with kids looks a lot different from a trip without kids so I wanted to share some of our favorite things to do in Minneapolis when we have our kids in toe.
Things To Do In Minneapolis With Kids:
Hotel:
There are many kid-friendly hotels in the Minneapolis area. This time around, we stayed in a new hotel. We stayed at The Graduate. I could write an entire blog post about this hotel alone. I am going to spend a great deal on it in this post. We absolutely loved it! The Graduate does not have a pool, but our kids are at the age that it isn’t the most important thing anymore. They were entertained by the shuffleboard table and the air hockey tables that were in the lobby.
While we were there, there was different food being served in the lobby each night. The first night we tried the $5 grilled cheese and tomato soup combo and the following night it was sushi! The hotel has a Starbucks attached to it and we ate at The Beacon restaurant one night we were there.
The decor in this hotel literally stopped me in my tracks so many times. I couldn’t get enough of it.
I am calling the decor in the rooms “gentleman’s lounge”. It was full of deep, rich colors. There were patterns everywhere you looked. The mix of plaids, leather and wool made me want to buy a cabin ASAP so I could decorate it just like the room.
Our room had two bathrooms and a bar area. There was more closet storage in the room than we have in our house.
I thought the room was gorgeous and then I opened the double doors to the bathroom. {insert mike drop – or jaw drop for that matter.}

Heading to Minneapolis was a much-needed getaway for our family. We love going there and haven’t been able to get there for some time now. We saw and did new things this time that has added to our many fond memories of the city. I hope this post on things to do in Minneapolis with kids has helped your next trip to this great city.
