This upcycled pumpkin craft project took minutes to make and I already had all of the supplies on hand!

Last winter, I picked up a bag of old rope floats. I didn’t have any idea what I was going to do with them, but I LOVED the way they looked.
The color was perfect and they looked like old, rustic wood pieces.
When I started decorating for fall this year, I picked them up and immediately thought they could pass as rustic pumpkins.
I ran with that idea and looked through the supplies I had on hand to see if I could make it happen.

We have enough sticks lying around after the derecho so it was easy to find the perfect fit for each float. You could also use wood dowels for the stems if you had those on hand.
I think they turned out so cute and they fit perfectly on the shelf in our bathroom.
For me, there is nothing better than using things you already have on hand to create custom decor for your home. That is why I am always picking up supplies and pieces at thrift stores and yard sales. There are certain things that I know I will always use, so I always pick them up: wood beads, faux stems, ribbon, etc. If I like them, I pick them up. Then, when creativity strikes, I have the supplies on hand to create it.
I seriously think these little pumpkins are some of my favorite fall decor this year. They are different and really look like old, wood pumpkins. I wish I had a few more of the rope floats to make a couple more. I will pick them up again if I find them.

Thank you! They aren’t leather. They are so so light because they are floats. The color of them is perfection. It is like an aged-leather chair or sofa.
